BIOSKETCH
Mr. Mkhize began his career in Radiotherapy and Nuclear Medicine at Tygerberg Hospital in 2015, he was part of the team that introduced SPECT/CT Internal dosimetry in Lu-177 therapy at the Nuclear Medicine Department in Tygerberg Hospital.
His interests are in Quality Assurance practices in Radiotherapy Linear accelerators and Nuclear Medicine equipment. He has been involved in The College of Medicine of South Africa examinations for Physics part 1 as an examiner, and peer reviewed papers in the Journal of Applied Clinical Medical Physics. Recently he was involved as a co-researcher for the IAEA CRP project looking at setting up a protocol for Internal Dosimetry. He aspires to setup an internal dosimetry programme in the Nuclear Medicine department to service the province’s patients.
